Combination device with high ease of use for non-destructive ultrasonic wall thickness measurement

SA40

The SA40 is a small handy ultrasonic thickness gauge for determining wall thicknesses. The intelligent device is capable of measuring a variety of metallic and non-metallic materials such as: iron, steel, aluminum, brass, copper, lead, magnesium, nickel, titanium, zinc, beryllium, molybdenum, quartz glass, Pyrex glass, plexiglass, nylon, polyethylene, polystyrene, silicon, and many more.

The use of different probes ensures optimal flexibility. This allows measurements to be taken in hard-to-reach areas or at extreme temperatures. By monitoring the wall thickness, materials exposed to corrosion or erosion can be controlled, ensuring the safe use of, for example, a pressure vessel.

Properties

  • Lightweight and easy to handle with secure operation
  • Large display with automatic backlight
  • High measuring accuracy even with remaining wall thickness
  • 4 different probes to choose from: standard, miniature, high-temperature, and cast iron probe with 88 cm long connection cable
  • Ultrasound velocity manually adjustable up to max. 9,999 m/s. Allows measurements in various materials
  • Velocity determination with known wall thickness
  • Memory for 500 measurement results
  • Unit of measurement: mm or inch
  • Simple calibration with integrated measurement plate
  • Battery capacity indicator
