Portable roughness measuring devices with swivel probe

R130/R135

The portable roughness testers R130 and R135 are high-precision measuring devices that impress with their wide measuring range and excellent performance. They are ideal for measuring roughness on metallic and non-metallic surfaces. Particularly noteworthy is the swiveling test probe of these roughness testers, which enables precise measurements in hard-to-reach places.

Properties

  • Rotary probe for measuring at 3 different angles
  • Ra and Rz parameters selectable
  • Cut-Off: 0.25 mm / 0.8 mm / 2.5 mm (cut-off wavelength)
  • Number of Cut-Offs selectable 1-3-5 (at 0.8 and 2.5 mm)
  • Filter: ANSI 2RC
  • Measuring principle: piezoelectric
  • Probe diamond: angle of 90° / tip radius of 2μm
  • maximum contact force: 1500mp/15.0mN
  • robust housing
  • RS232 connection (for R-135) for data transfer to a special printer or computer

Measurement principle

During the measurement process, the sensor is moved linearly along the probing path. The probe follows the profile of the probing path and moves up and down. These movements are converted into electrical signals, which are then amplified, filtered, and converted into digital values using an A/D converter. Based on these values, a mathematical representation of the profile is created using a microprocessor. Based on this representation, the Ra and Rz values (or Rq and Rt values) are then calculated according to the relevant standards and displayed on the screen.
